MUI Suggests People Get Medication in Accordance with Islamic Religion Teachings

DDHK News, Indonesia - Many traditional healers, smart people or psychics practice medical treatment, many have allegedly left the Islamic law. Like the alternative medicine performed by Ustaz Guntur Bumi (UGB) in the Pondok Pinang area, Pondok Indah, South Jakarta.

Although it is not a practice of shamanism, the Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) also indicated that the treatment method used by Puput Melati's ex-husband had deviated from Islamic teachings.

MUI also advised that people who want to preach must be equipped with knowledge and morals. "Healing is not a measure and standard to judge whether it is in accordance with sharia or not. However, what needs to be considered is how to cure it, ”said Deputy Chairperson of the MUI Study and Research Commission, Cholil Nafis.

"I hope that those who want to preach will equip themselves with knowledge and morals. The public should choose teachers who have a clear background in religious knowledge, and seek treatment according to Islamic teachings, "he added, Monday (10/3). (jpnn.com)
