Mother is sick for a long time and has difficulty meeting death, what should I do?

ASKING:

Assalamualaikum.

I want to ask, Ustadz. My mother has been sick for a long time, more than 1 year. His condition is very weak, eating through his nose, can no longer speak.

Every now and then I have to lay his body to the right or to the left. I can't bear to hear her moaning. I still give the best prayer to him.

When I was in Hong Kong, Yasin recited twice. Now I am in Indonesia taking care of him.

Some said, they said my mother had a handle. But our family doesn't know. In my opinion, maybe it is not the time for God to want him to die. Or, is there something else, Ustadz? Explanation please.

Thank you, Ustadz.

Salam,

Fulanah

ANSWER:

Wa'alaikumussalam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh.

Bismillah ... Death is a sure thing. Not a single being knows when and where death will come. Allah SWT said:

"كُلُّ نَفۡسࣲ ذَاۤىِٕقَةُ ٱلۡمَوۡتِۗ"

"Every animate will taste death". [Surah Ali Imran: 185]

“وَمَا تَدۡرِی نَفۡسࣱ مَّاذَا تَكۡسِبُ غَدࣰاۖ وَمَا تَدۡرِی نَفۡسُۢ بِأَیِّ أَرۡضࣲ تَمُوتُۚ"

"And no one knows (with certainty) what he will do tomorrow. And no one knows where on earth he will die ”. [QS Luqman: 34]

Death is also something that comes on time without being postponed or pushed forward. Allah SWT said:

"And every ummah has a death (time limit). When death comes, they cannot ask for a delay or acceleration for a moment ”. [Surah Al-A'raf: 34]

Then is it true, if someone who uses his death implant will be difficult? At first glance it seems true, because maybe we often encounter such cases. However, as a believer, we should return all matters to a correct understanding and in accordance with the Qur'an and Sunnah.

Rasulullah SAW said:

"In fact ruqyah (which contains prayers to other than Allah), amulets, and compassionate pellets are shirk". (HR Ahmad, Abu Dawud, & Al-Hakim)

Imran bin Husain ra said that the Messenger of Allah saw a man wearing a bracelet made of brass, then he asked:

"What's this for? The man replied: "To ward off weakness of the body", then the Prophet said: "Take off the bracelet, because in fact he will not add to anything but weakness in yourself, and if you die while this bracelet is still on your body, then you will not. lucky forever. " (HR. Ahmad)

The hadith above explains that whatever type of ruqyah, talisman, or whatever is used by someone and contains a load of protection for other than Allah, then the law is shirk and haram.

The hadith above explains that people who still wear amulets, implants and the like for a long time or even towards the end of their lives, will be weak because of it. This weakness is of course the power of Allah as a form of reward for the person for the pleasures he gets during his life from these objects.

One of the weaknesses he got was a very painful death. As for the length of time the spirit leaves his body, it is not just the amulet or implant he uses. It's just that Allah deliberately wants to postpone his death by torturing that person because of his shirk in the form of an amulet or implant.

Therefore, if we meet someone like this, we can meruqyah that person by reading the Koran or other prayers.

From the friend of Ma'qil bin Yasar ra, the Messenger of Allah said:

اقرؤوا لى اكم (رواه اد)

"Read the Yasin letter to those (who want to die) among you". (HR Ahmad & Abu Dawud)

We can also read verses and ruqyah readings to people who are hard to die. Among our other efforts is to mix an odd number of bidara leaves with water or olive oil, then we squeeze and apply it on the person's body.

Hope you can help.

Wallâhu a'lam bish-showâb.

Regards!
