Eid al-Adha sermon: Momentum to Realize Faith and Sincerity to Worship with Sacrifice

It is joyful for all of us Muslims with the arrival of this glorious and blessed Eid, the day of sacrifice, the day of joy and joy. The holidays that Allah has given to us Muslims, holidays that are filled with the light of monotheism and faith and obedience to Allah by submitting worship only to Him. On this day of Eid al-Adha, the Muslims manifest their faith with the pilgrimage and sacrifice.

Sacrificial worship is a great worship that can only be offered to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala said,

قل إن صلاتي ونسكي ومحياي ومماتي لله رب العالمين (162) لا شريك له وبذلك أمرت وأنا أول المسلمين

Say: "Verily, my worship, my worship, my life and my death are only for Allah, Lord of the worlds. There is no partner for Him; and thus that is what I was commanded and I am the first to surrender (to Allah). " (Surah Al-An'am: 162-163)

Therefore, for the shahibul sacrifice, he should present an intention in his heart, that the sacrificial worship he is doing is the manifestation of worship to Allah. Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, keep away from the whispers of wanting to be praised as generous or as a person who is able to buy the most expensive sacrificial animal, then it is known, na'udzubillah. Messenger of Allah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam said, explaining the position of a person who likes to ask for praise by others in charity.

"God Ta'ala said: 'I do not need the polytheists for the shirk they do. Whoever associates me with something else, I will leave him with his shirk '"(Narrated by Muslim 2985)

In another hadith the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallam ever told friends,

From Tariq bin Syihab, (he told) that Rasulullah sallallaahu 'alaihi wa sallamOnce said, "There is a man who goes to heaven because of a fly and another man who goes to hell because of a fly." They (the Companions) asked, "How did this happen, O Messenger of Allah?" He replied, "There were two men who passed by a people who had idols. No one is allowed to pass through the area but he must sacrifice (make offerings) something for the idol. They also said to one of the two men, "Make sacrifices." He also replied, "I have nothing to sacrifice." They say, "Make sacrifices, even with a fly." He also made sacrifices with a fly, so they allowed him to pass and continue on his way. Because of that, he went to hell. They also commanded the other person, "Sacrifice." He replied, "It is not proper for me to sacrifice for anything other than Allah 'Azza wa Jalla. " Finally, they cut off his neck. Because of that, he entered heaven. "

Therefore, we must give up our worship solely for and for Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala, do not we intend our sacrifice to other than Him.*
