Hadith Advice to Do Good After Ramadan

DDHK. ORG – Ramadan teaches many things, including doing good. Even though Ramadan has gone, doing good must become a habit that is still being done. No matter how small a good deed will get reply double. Of course this can continue after Ramadan.

According to About Islam as stated Republika, here are 10 hadiths about practices that can continue even though Ramadan is over, including;

First, Abu Hurairah reported,

The Messenger of Allah said, “Alms are obligatory for every joint of every person every day the sun rises: being fair between two people is charity; helping someone with his mount, lifting him on it or lifting his things on it, is charity; kind words are alms; and removing something harmful from the path is charity.” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Second, Abu Dharr (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet said,

"There is no one who does not have the obligation (to do) charity every day after sunrise." Then he was asked, "O Messenger of Allah, where will we get something to give in charity (so often)?" So he replied,

“Surely the gates of goodness are many, glorifying Allah, praising Him, glorifying Him, saying 'There is no god but Allah,' enjoining what is good and forbidding what is wrong, removing (sources of) harm from the path, making the deaf hear (and understand), guiding the blind , showing the seeker his need, striving as far as your two feet can carry you and with deep concern for giving aid to him who asks, carrying with the strength of your weak arm (burden).

All of this is charity.”

And he added, “And your smile before your brother is charity, you remove stones, thorns and bones from the path of people is charity, and guiding people who are lost in the world is charity for you.

Thirdly, Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported:

Rasulullah SAW said, "Every servant of Allah who fasts one day because of Allah, Allah will bring his face closer to the fire of hell which is a distance of seventy years. (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)

Fourth, Abu Said and Abu Hurairah reported:

Rasulullah SAW said, “When a man wakes up his wife at night and they both perform two cycles of prayer together, they are recorded among the men and women who celebrate the remembrance of Allah. (Abu Dawud)

Rasulullah SAW said, “A group of people who gather in one of Allah's Houses to study the Qur'an, serenity will descend upon them, mercy will cover them, angels will surround them. and Allah will mention them to those (angels) near Him. ” (Muslims)

Sixth, Anas reports:

Rasulullah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “Allah will be pleased with His servant who praises Him (i.e., says Al-hamdu lillah ) when he eats and praises Him when he drinks”. (Muslim)

Seventh, Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri (May Allah be pleased with him) reported on Surah Al Ikhlas

The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said, “By Him in Whose Hands my soul is, it is equal to a third of the Qur'an. ”

Eighth, Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:

“He who reads after every prayer:

Subhan Allah (God is free from imperfection) thirty three times;

Al-hamdu lillah (all praise be to Allah) thirty-three times;

Allahu Akbar (God is Greatest) thirty-three times;

and complete one hundred with: La ilaha illallahu, wahdahu la sharika lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa Huwa `ala kulli shai'in qadir (there is no true god but Allah. He is One and He has no partner. He is the Almighty and He is all praise, and He is Almighty, all sins will be forgiven even if they are as big as foam on the surface of the sea.” (Muslim)

Ninth, Abu Hurairah also reported that the Prophet said:

Whoever recites Subhanallah wa bihamdihi (Glory be to Allah and all praise be to Him) a hundred times a day, his sins will be erased even if they are as much as foam in the ocean. (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
