Amazing, This is the Miracle of Bismillah

DDHK. ORG – Bismillah has meaning extraordinary. In the hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah, Rasulullah SAW said, "Every good work, if it does not start with "Bismillah" (mentioning the name of Allah) then (the work) will be cut off (from Allah's blessings)."

For Muslim, every activity is a means of spreading virtue. Didn't Rasulullah SAW liken the identity of a Muslim to like a bee.

Reported Republic, the food one eats is good and the one that is given out is good. A bee alighting or staying never harms another. That's a good and true Muslim.

But sometimes most of us unconsciously start all activities or activities without saying the sentence bismillah. In fact, whether someone's deeds are accepted or not depends on this sentence.

When you wake up, want to take a shower, get dressed, have breakfast, go to the office, leave the house, ride a vehicle, enter the office, turn on the computer, open files or files, open meetings, write, read, and so on. So many of our daily activities, have we started with bismillah?

Sometimes, we take this for granted. Whereas in the sight of Allah it is a kindness of great value. Whether one's deeds and activities are blessed or not depends on when they started them.

Understand the privilege of bismillah so that Allah and His Messenger advise us to start all activities, actions and activities by reciting bismillah.

Bismillah priority

Some of the salaf scholars said, "bismillah is the core content of Islamic teachings". Because, there is an element of belief in Allah who has given strength so that a person can carry out the desired activity.

If we follow the language, we will get the secret and magic of the sentence bismillahirrahmanirrahim. The word bismillah, for example, is a series of three words that contain a great and noble meaning, namely ba (bi), ism, and Allah.

The letter ba which is read bi here has two meanings. First, the letter bi which is translated "with" saves one word that is not spoken but must come to mind when saying basmalah, namely to start. Bismillah means “I or we start with the name of Allah”. Thus the sentence becomes a kind of prayer or statement from the speaker.

Bismillah means “I or we start with the name of Allah”.

Second, the letter bi which is translated by the word "with" is associated in the mind with the word "power and help". The basmalah speaker seems to be saying, "with God's power and His help, the work that I am doing can be accomplished."

The speaker should be aware that without God's power and His help, what he is doing will not work. He realized his own weaknesses and limitations. He leaned back and asked Almighty God for help.

Second, the word ism after the letter bi is taken from the word as-sumuw which means high and noble. The name is called ism, is held in high esteem because it is a sign for something.

Sheikh Al-Maraghi in his commentary explains, the mention of the name here means that he started the work in the name of Allah and on orders not on the impulse of mere lust. Here's the difference.

In Alquran even Allah describes the actions of disbelievers who do not begin with sincerity to Allah, the results will be in vain. "And We will show them all the deeds they do, then We make them like dust flying (in vain)." (QS. Al-Furqan: 23).

Third, says Allah. Derived from the word walaha which means surprising or amazing. So God is named Allah because all His deeds are amazing and surprising.

Therefore, there is a hadith which states, "Think about Allah's creatures and don't think about His Essence." (Narrated by Abu Hurairah).

Some other scholars say that the word Allah is taken from the wordaliha – ya'lahu which means to go and ask. God is named Allah because all creatures go to and ask Him to meet their needs. It also means to worship and serve, so that the word Allah means "The one who has the right to be worshiped and to Him all devotion is directed".

God is named Allah because all creatures go to and ask Him to meet their needs.

Fourth, ar-Rahman and ar-Rahim. There are so many attributes (names) of Allah, but only two are chosen in the basmalah, namely ar-Rahman and ar-Rahim. Both are taken from the same root word.

This trait was chosen, because that trait is the most dominant. In this case, Allah confirms, "My mercy covers all things." (QS al-A'raf: 156).

Elsewhere, a hadith Qudsi states that Allah's mercy overcomes His anger. These words, ar-Rahman and ar-Rahim, are rooted in the word Rahm which has also been included in the treasury of the Indonesian language, which means womb or womb.

When the word Rahim is mentioned, what comes to mind is mother and child. And you can imagine how much love the mother has for her child. However, do not conclude that the nature of God's Grace is commensurate with the nature of mother's grace.

Abu Hurairah narrates the words of Rasulullah SAW which draws closer to the great picture of Allah's mercy. I heard Rasulullah SAW say,
“Allah SWT made 100 parts of mercy, stored with Him 99, and sent down to the earth one part. It is this one share that is divided among all creatures (so evenly that one share is also shared by) an animal that lifts its foot out of compassion, afraid not to step on its child. (Muslim HR).

The word "Rahman" is an attribute of God's love for all His creatures that are given in the world, both believers and unbelievers.

In another expression it is mentioned, the word "Rahman" is the nature of God's love for all His creatures that are given in the world, whether humans believe or disbelieve, animals and plants and other creatures. Haven't we (with His love) been given life, given the ease of breathing the air, the ease of walking, running and doing all its activities.

But unfortunately, very few of us want to contemplate let alone be grateful for all these blessings? God always gives His love to humans even though they deny Him.

As for the word "Rahim" given specifically by God later in the afterlife. Only for those who believe and are grateful for all the pleasures that have been bestowed upon them.

His affection is specifically given to His servants who devote themselves to Allah and believe that all pleasures come from Allah. Even sure all the good deeds, good deeds will not guarantee entry into His heaven except because of His Grace.

One time Rasulullah SAW advised his friends, “Hurry up to do good and strengthen your relationship with Allah. And know that your deeds do not guarantee you will enter paradise.

Astonished, the companions asked, "Including you, O Messenger of Allah?" Rasulullah SAW replied, "Yes, including me, unless Allah bestows His mercy and grace on me."

These are some of the miracles of bismillah if we are all able to practice them consistently, well and correctly. [DDHK News]
