Ohio-Students-Revive-Prophets-Message 1DDHK News, America - Ohio University Muslim families and students, United States, attended a special weekend religious event to revive the Prophet Muhammad's message about unity and equality (unity and equality).

"We decided to work with other Muslim Student Associations (MSA) in the region to build networks and collaborations and make this event bigger and beneficial for all," said Abdulrahman Alwattar, President of MSA, Monday (21/1).

The conference entitled "In the Words the Prophet: The Last Sermon" presented a number of speakers, including Siraj Wahhaj (imam of the At-Taqwa Mosque in New York City) and Mohamed Abutaleb (a teacher at the Oak Tree Institute of Islamic Education and Yasmin Mogahed).

"The Prophet Muhammad was sent as the most beautiful example and he is also described as a blessing for all mankind," said Yasmin Mogahed.

Underlining gender equality in Islam, Mogahed highlighted Islamic teachings that give equal treatment to men and women.

"It is very important to understand what criteria it means to be a woman and what it means to be a man and how we should treat each other," said Mogahed.

Kareem Hakim, Vice President of MSA Michigan, emphasized that religion (Islam) is a unifying factor. (mel / onislam.net / localhost / project / personal / ddhongkong.org / ddhongkong.org). *
