Wa'alaikum greetings wr wb. Destiny comes from Arabic which means provisions or statutes.
In terms, destiny means the provisions of Allah SWT that have happened, such as death, natural disasters, epidemics, and others.
In everyday life, many people refer to it as "fate", even though what it means is destiny.
So, fate same with fate. Our duty as servants of Allah is to pray and make efforts, so that our destiny or fate is good, in this world and in the hereafter. Allah knows best.*
