Corona Outbreak: Hong Kong Records Lowest New Cases

HONG KONG - There were only 3 new cases of corona virus added in Hong Kong on Tuesday (14/4/2020). This number is the lowest addition of daily cases in more than a month.

The record also means that it has been 3 days in a row that the number of daily infections is recorded in single digits in Hong Kong. Previously, on Monday (13/4/2020) Hong Kong only recorded 5 new cases. Meanwhile, Sunday (12/4/2020), only 4 cases.

The three new cases recorded as of Tuesday were all "imported" cases. Thus, the total cases of the corona virus in Hong Kong became 1.012.

Even so, the Head of Hong Kong Government, Carrie Lam, reminded the public to remain vigilant and not to be negligent because they felt safe. The government emphasized that social distancing rules will still apply.

“We can't be sure because some days [increases] are single digits. Now is not the time to let someone off guard and not the time to relax the restrictive measures that were implemented previously, "said Carrie Lam. [DDHKNews / source: SCMP]
