British Muslimah Special School Becomes the Best Educational Institution

King Fahad AcademyDDHK News, UK -  An Islamic high school for Muslim women, Tauheedul Islam Girls' High School, won the title of the best-rated learning institution in the UK.

This school that cares for the poor is also an example for faith-based educational institutions in the UK.

"Being inspected by Ofsted was an exertion and mindful experience but it was very positive," said Hamid Patel, Head of Tauheedul Islam Girls' High School. "The inspectors were very impressed and we are proud of our school and we were able to show (quality) to the inspectors."

Assessing the Tauheedul Islam Girls' School, inspectors from Ofsted, which oversees public and private schools and colleges, praised the high level of academic achievement in Islamic schools.

The inspector added that the Islamic school was led by a person with very strong moral goals. "Students do very well at this school," said lead inspector Joan McKenna. “The rate of progress made by all student groups is truly impressive across all subjects.

"Due to extraordinary progress, students reach high standards. The GCSE (official exam) results are consistently above the national average in all subjects, "he added.

In February 2013, Tauheedul Islam Girls' High School was rated as the best-performing learning institution in the UK.

In March, the school was voted 'Best Middle School' by the Times Education Supplementary annual award.

In the Tauheedul Islam school report, Ofsted said that the spiritual focus of the school is one of the main factors that has maintained the progress of the school over the past few years.

"Students' spiritual, moral, social and cultural impetus is very high encouragement because it is considered very important by leaders and its promotion is an integral part of school life," said inspector McKenna.

The inspector also praised Tauheedil Islam's strategy which focuses on helping the education of people in need (the poor).

"They act to help those less fortunate from Muslim societies and have a well-developed outlook on various ethical and moral issues." (mel / onislam.net / localhost / project / personal / ddhongkong.org / ddhongkong.org). *
