The virtue of visiting the sick

DDHK.ORG - There are several hadiths that explain the virtue of visiting the sick. Among others are:

Ibn Majah narrated from Abu Hurairah ra, he said, The Messenger of Allah said, "Whoever visits a sick person there is a caller who calls him, 'It is very good (what you have done), indeed your journey is good, and you have prepared your place in paradise. .'”

Imam Muslim narrated from Abu Hurairah ra. He said, verily the Messenger of Allah said, verily Allah will say on the Day of Resurrection: "O children and grandchildren of Adam, I am sick, but you do not visit Me. Adam's descendants replied, 'How can I visit You when You are Lord of the worlds?' Allah responded, 'Don't you know that my servant so and so is sick, but you don't visit him. Don't you know, if you had just visited him, you would have found it all by my side?

'O children and grandchildren of Adam, I asked you to eat, but you did not give Me food'. Adam's posterity said, 'How can I feed You when You are Lord of hosts?' Allah responded by saying, 'Don't you remember that there was My servant who asked you to eat but you refused. Don't you know, if you feed him, you will find all that with Me?'” O children and grandchildren of Adam, I asked you to drink but you did not give Me to drink'. Adam's posterity said, 'How can I give You a drink when You are Lord of hosts?' Allah responded, 'My servant, so and so asked you to drink but you did not give him water. Don't you know, if you give him a drink, you will find all that by my side?'”

From Thauban ra, he said, Rasulullah saw said, "Whoever visits someone who is sick, then he will always be in khurfatul jannah until he comes home."

The companions asked, "O Messenger of Allah, what is meant by khurfatul Jannah?"

He replied, "That is fresh fruit."

Sayyidina Ali ra said, I heard the Messenger of Allah say, "No Muslim visits a fellow Muslim (who is sick) in the morning, except that 70 thousand angels pray for him until the evening comes. And if he visits him in the evening, then 70 thousand angels will pray for him until the morning comes, and for him there is fresh fruit in heaven." HR Tirmidhi. He stated that this hadith is hasan.
