Wassalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarokaatuh.

The law of marrying online is permissible, as long as the pillars and conditions are met. Among them are visual and lingual clarity, so as not to hinder the smooth process of the consent procession. If only using messengers and letters is allowed by madhhab scholars as long as it is clear, then of course technological sophistication is also included in it. However, if it is still possible to do it offline, then it is better because it is more solemn and more emotional for both the bride and groom.
