"Apart from being faster, this (peaceful) effort will also bring benefits to the family in the form of money, the amount of which can be agreed upon through a lawyer appointed by the Indonesian Consulate General in Hong Kong," he said as quoted by various media in Indonesia.
This statement was immediately protested by the Indonesian Migrant Workers (BMI) in Hong Kong. Hundreds of comments posted on one of the Facebook social media groups in Hong Kong were uploaded by the author, stating that Erwina's case must be resolved legally as fairly as possible, BNP2TKI must be informed and apologized publicly.
"I apologize for the inconvenience of the statement regarding Erwiana," said Jumhur in Jakarta, Monday (20/1).
He said Christofel de Haan had admitted his mistake and apologized to the leadership. However, it is still under intensive examination for the process of imposing sanctions, it can even lead to removal from office.
