Stuck Online Loans because of Gambling, How to Help?

DDHK.ORG – Online loans due gamble ensnare a child, how to help him?

Peace be upon you, and Allah's mercy and blessings.

Pak chaplain permission to ask. My first son, when I was a child who was good according to my parents, diligently recited the Koran. Now he is working, married and has two daughters.

A year ago my child was trapped in an online loan of IDR 15 million, asking me for help. He said, he joined his friends playing greetings or online gambling like that. He admits that he made a mistake and said he didn't want to gamble anymore.

As a parent, I am really sad, Pak Ustadz, with this. I want to ask Ustadz in what way can my child realize and recover from a game that is misleading and miserable for family and parents.

Are there rukiyah sharia or readings that I can do so that my child returns to the way of Allah.

Please advise, thank you.

Greetings, Fulanah

Problems in life, especially finance or the economy, can make someone who was originally obedient, kind, obedient, then become an emotional person so that he has to owe other people, regardless of whether it contains elements of usury or not.

Some of them even take shortcuts in order to get a lot of easy money through the practice of gambling.

It is true what Umar bin Khattab's friend said radliyallahu anhu:

لو كان الفقر رجلاً لقتلته

"If the faqiran had a human form, I would really kill him."

So according to Imam Syafi'i Rahimahullahu Ta'ala, the faqir is more than just poor.

It is clear that gambling is illegal, as well as online loans. The Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI) has also issued a fatwa regarding the prohibition of online lending, even if it is voluntary, because it contains usury, threats, and exposes the borrower's disgrace to the public.

If you have already borrowed through an online loan (pinjol), ask Allah Subhanahu wata'ala to pay it off immediately and promise and repent that you will not repeat it.

There are also prayers that can be recited so that one can live qanaah (receive God's gifts) and avoid debt. Among these prayers are:

Here are some prayers that can be said to be free from debt:

- اللَّهمَّ اكْفِنِي لَالِكَ حَرَامِكَ لِكَ اكَ

1. "O Allah, suffice (for) me with what is lawful (from) You from what is unlawful. And enrich me with Your bounty from anyone other than You.”

2. "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from restlessness and anxiety. I seek refuge in You from weakness and laziness. I seek refuge in You from cowardice and stinginess. And I seek refuge in You from the bondage of debt and coercion of people."

3. "There is no god but You, Glory to You, indeed I am one of the wrongdoers."

4. "Increasing istighfar."

5. "O Allah, satisfy me with what You have given me, and bless me with it, and replace me with good for all that is missing from me." (Reported by Al-Hakim)

Hope it is useful…

Peace, mercy and blessings of God
