TSUEN WAN | HONG KONG - This year, Majelis Taklim Yuen Long (MTYL) has completed 15 years of work in the world of preaching and Islamic religious education among Indonesian migrant workers (PMI) in Hong Kong. This was marked by the milad celebration which was held at the Salikul Lail Building, Tsuen Wan, Sunday (21/4/2019).
The milad celebration in the form of recitation and joint prayer was also attended by Hong Kong Dhuafa Dopet (DDHK) volunteers. To them, the MTYL officials, Yayuk Yuliani and Solihah said that the Yuen Long Taklim Assembly was established with the full support of the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) Hong Kong.
"We established the Yuen Long Taklim Council with the support of the Indonesian Consulate General in Hong Kong. MTYL we established for our association, and filled with various religious education activities, "said Yayuk and Solihah.
Throughout the 15 years since it was founded, said Yayuk and Solihah, Majelis Taklim Yuen Long has routine activities every Sunday and holidays. "Every Sunday we hold tauhid education and Alqur'an education using the An-Nahdliyah method. Twice a month, we conduct tausiyah routines from DDHK and PCINU (Special Branch Management of Nahdlatul Ulama) Hong Kong. Every Sunday, after zuhur, we also routinely do Yasinan (read Surah Yasin together) and learn tambourine, ”they said. [Marlin]
