DDHK News, Hong Kong - Besides having to understand the character or general characteristics of children, the requirement to become a child teacher must have 5G. That was said by Kak Imung (PAUD teacher trainer from Purwokerto) in the PAUD Teacher Training event that was held Dompet Dhuafa Hong Kong (DDHK) at Warung Chandra, Odeon Plaza North Point, Sunday January 25 2015.
What is meant by 5G is Gendeng, Gending, Gandang, Gendung, and Gendeng.
Kak Imung explained, Gendeng meant to be a child teacher, he had to be totality, go crazy, enter the world of children.
Gending or Sense of Art, singing, writing, painting, dancing, ndongeng, etc. Gandang is a loud voice. Gendung means that children's teachers must have broad insight. Gendeng (Genting in Javanese), so the child's teacher must be able to nurture or protect his students.
He added that the training material was about three things that teachers or parents of children should not do, namely, do not generalize, do not make comparisons and never attack children's self-esteem if they make mistakes.
