DMC Dompet Dhuafa Build Drilling Well and MCK at the Mamuju Earthquake Site

DDHK.ORG - Humanitarian action carried out Disaster Management Center (DMC) Dompet Dhuafa (DD) in the earthquake disaster location in Mamuju and Majene areas, West Sulawesi, entering the early recovery stage. On February 16, 2021, the DMC DD team continued the construction of the boss well and bathing-washing-toilet (MCK) facilities.

Based on the Situation Report submitted by the DMC DD team, it was reported about the progress of the construction of three drilled wells during the action on 16 February. The drilling well in the evacuation site of the Al-Mubarok Darussalam Ponpes Foundation in Serang Hamlet, Taan Village, Tapalang District has reportedly been completed. This drilling well is utilized by 39 heads of families (KK) covering 160 people.

Meanwhile, drilling wells at the Baitul Ikhsan Mosque are still ongoing. Likewise, the construction of drilling wells at the Dusun Popanga Mosque, North Boteng Village, Simboro District, which was needed by 115 families and 460 people. It is targeted that the drilling will be completed in two days.

The report also mentioned developments in the construction of MCK facilities in two locations. Emergency MCK in Bone-bone Hamlet, Mamuju Subdistrict has reportedly reached 90 percent. Likewise, the construction of permanent toilets at the Al-Munawarah Ponpes Refugee Post in Salutalawar Hamlet, Tadui Village, Mamuju District which is intended for refugees consisting of 47 families, 120 people, and 200 santri.

Another stunt by the DMC team Dompet Dhuafa on February 16 includes logistics distribution to the Majene region. Logistics in the form of 5 bags of 25 kilograms of rice, 2 cartons of sardines, 15 bottles of vegetable oil, 10 bags of granulated sugar, 1 box of diapers, 2 boxes of bottled mineral water, 4 bags of detergent, 2 boxes of sanitary napkins, 15 pcs of soap, 15 pcs each. large and small Dettol brand soap, and 18 pieces of tarpaulin were distributed to Mekatta Village, Mekatta Hamlet, Ulumanda District. The logistics were distributed to 579 beneficiary households.
