FPI Poles the Gay Q-Munity Community

Q-Munity, the gay community, which hosted Q! Film Festival or Gay Fil Festival in Jakarta was reported by the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI) to Polda Metro Jaya (PMJ). The community was polarized because they were suspected of showing pornographic films.

“What Q-Munity spread in the Q! Film Festival smells of sexual intercourse which is unnatural and contains pornography. We have proof of the CD and report it legally, ”said the Head of the Advocacy Division of the FPI, Munarman at the Regional Police Headquarters, Friday (1/10), as quoted Indonesian Media Online.

The former Chair of the Jakarta LBH was accompanied by the Chairperson of the Jakarta FPI DPD, Habib Salim Alatas, who reported Q-munity to the Police Service Center (SPK) Polda Metro Jaya, Friday (1/10).

They previously visited the Head of Public Relations at Polda Metro Jaya at around 10.00 WIB.

When reporting to SPK, Salim Alatas said that his party had evidence of a film screening that invited the controversy.

“The trailer contains things that are distorted. Like kiss scenes between men and boys, there are nude scenes, and scenes of intercourse, ”he said, saying the duration of the recording he had was five to seven minutes.

Based on the recorded evidence, Salim Alatas charged Q-Munity with the Anti-Pornography Law and the Information and Electronic Transaction Law.

"We sue according to applicable law, because this marriage is unnatural, this is deviant," he said.

Salim said that during the demonstration about the screening of the film, there were no acts of anarchism, but he threatened to act decisively if the committee continued to screen the film. "At the latest within 1 X 24 hours it will be stopped, or we take firm steps," he threatened.

Previously, FPI visited several foreign cultural centers showing films on the theme of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transsexual (LGBT) on Tuesday (28/9). They visited Goethe Haus, Erasmus Huis, Japan Foundation, and Center Cultural Francais (CCF). (MIOL)
