They are participants of the Diaspora Development program initiated by the Independence Institute (IK) Dompet Dhuafa in collaboration with the Tazakka Foundation.

Through the preparation of skilled workforce we will go abroad to work in the technology sector, "said the Rector of the IK Dompet Dhuafa, Zainal Abidin, at the launch of the Diaspora Development program, Thursday (29/1), at the IK campus Dompet Dhuafa, Tangerang.

Zainal explained, as many as 31 youths from Balaraja, Tangerang, and Serang would work as special skilled workers while at the same time undergoing distance learning with the system. on line. They will be spread across three Indonesian campuses.

"This program is revolving funds (revolving fund) in which the funds spent for preparation of study programs and work abroad will be returned gradually after starting to work abroad to be used by the next beneficiaries, ”explained Zainal.

The participants who mostly come from underprivileged families will undergo the program for six years. The plan, every two years they will move to three countries. The work placement countries for this program are Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Province of China, South Korea, and New Zealand.

After the program is finished, the beneficiaries are expected to be able to raise enough capital to be used to create jobs or companies when they return to Indonesia. Within a year, the Diaspora Development program targets 1.000 pesetas.

Previously, the participants participated in the interview selection by Dompet Dhuafa and the Tazakka Foundation. The main requirement is to be mentally prepared and committed to undergoing the program to completion. They also have to get permission from their parents.
