Muslim Graves Damaged, French Extremists Imprisoned

A French extremist was sent to prison for desecrating a Muslim grave. The court sentenced former members of the French military to imprisonment for defaming a Muslim cemetery in the southwestern city of Castres, France. The French national, who is also a member of the Far-right extremist group's National Front, was also sentenced to three years in prison and a $ 1000 fine.

In January 2011 the extremist placed three pieces of pork skin on three graves at a Muslim cemetery in Castres. He described his actions as rejecting the "Arab and Islamic invasion of France".

According to the Islamic organization in France, the extremists are trying to attack the presence of Islam in France, which has increased by 34 percent last year.

Last week, Muslim graves in southern France were vandalized for the second time in three months. (Mel / Kuna.net.kw / ddhongkong.org). *
