Hong Kong BMIs Participate in Al-Qur'an Memorization Competition

Commemorating Islamic New Year 1433 Hijriyah, Berkah Indo Ltd. held a Juz 29-30 Al-Qur'an memorization competition, Sunday (15/1), at the Ammar Wanchai Mosque starting at Pkl. 09.30. This event was attended by 33 contestants from Hong Kong BMIs.

According to the event coordinator, Endang Dwi, the tahfidz competition Al-Quran This aims to support and motivate BMI HK friends in memorizing and reading Al-Quran. "Making the Koran as a guide for life to be calm, enjoyable, and full of blessings," he explained.

With an event like this, said Endang, BMI HK can take advantage of their time by participating in positive activities. "Learn to improve yourself, especially for those who can't recite the Koran, hurry up to read the Koran by increasing your memorization," he said.

The jury consists of Ustadz Abdul Muhaemin Karim, MA (IUHK), Ustadz Udin Kamaludin (IAIN Cirebon), and Ustadzah Mimi Jamilah Mahya, MA (IUHK). The assessment is carried out based on memorization of surah, fluency, tajwid, and letter macros.

Ustadz Udin explained that Allah SWT guarantees that it is easy to memorize the Qur'an. "Evidence from the Koran can be memorized or studied until it is mentioned four times in Surah Al-Qomar," he said.

He advised BMI friends to continue to improve their memorization because Allah will reward them and make it easy to read wherever they are.
