HONG KONG - The Hong Kong MTR train operator said this Wednesday morning (13/11/2019) service on the East Rail Line was suspended. They also said the free shuttle bus service was not available due to poor road conditions.
This was reported by Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK), at 06:00 this morning. "The Mong Kok, Tuen Mun, and Tseung Kwan O stations are also closed," wrote RTHK.
Anti-government demonstrators threw various objects on the tracks in an attempt to disrupt the transportation network on Tuesday (12/11/2019) yesterday. An empty carriage was bombed at Sheung Shui.
"MTR stations, including several on the East Rail, were damaged," wrote RTHK.
At least three Light Rail (short train) routes, namely 705, 761P, and 751P also did not operate this morning. Several others were transferred. [DDHKNews]
