You have to take off your belt when checking at the airport, here's the explanation

For security reasons, we will undergo inspection at the airport before entering the waiting room to board the airplane. During the inspection, we must remove our watches and belts. Why is that?

Reported by CNN Indonesia, referring to the Regulation of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of 2010, regarding security procedures for passengers, aircraft personnel, and luggage being transported must go through two security check points.

So, passengers must undergo inspection before checking in and other checks before checking in and boarding at the airport. Now, when the pre-boarding inspection becomes more stringent, where all metal objects must be removed and placed in a container so they can be examined through an X-ray machine.

If all metal accessories have been removed and the metal detector on a passenger's body still sounds, it is possible that the shoes in question will be asked to be removed. If it still rings, a body check-up will be carried out in a closed room. This rule applies to anyone.

The purpose of the inspection is none other than for the safety of all. The metal must be removed in order to facilitate the inspection process. This was done to prevent irresponsible passengers carrying weapons or dangerous goods, and materials that could be used against the law.

If we don't want to bother with checking at the airport, it's better to avoid using the following items; belts, metal jewelry, jackets, shoes that are difficult to remove, and clothes that are too loose that the officers can be suspected of keeping something. (Photo source: Superlive)
