Up Nearly 50 Percent, Number of Cars Leave Greater Jakarta during Eid

DDHK. ORG – The number of cars leaving Jabotabek during Eid has increased by almost 50 percent. PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk noted traffic volumes (traffic) left the area Greater Jakarta in H1 to H2 Lebaran or 22-23 April 2023 there were 407.581 vehicles.

As reported Kompas, this figure is the cumulative number of traffic flows from the four Barrier/Main Toll Gates (GT), namely GT Cikupa (towards Merak), GT Ciawi (towards Puncak), and GT Cikampek Utama and GT Kalihurip Utama (towards Trans Java and Bandung).

The total volume of traffic leaving the Greater Jakarta area increased by 48,2 percent compared to normal traffic with a total of 275.087 vehicles.

For the distribution of traffic leaving Jabotabek heading in three directions, namely the majority of 231.140 vehicles (56,7 percent) heading east (Trans Java and Bandung). Then there were 87.575 vehicles (21,5 percent) heading west (Merak), and 88.866 vehicles (21,8 percent) heading south (Puncak).

Jasa Marga urges road users to ensure their readiness before traveling, including by ensuring the adequacy of e-toll and fuel balances, as well as ensuring that both the vehicle and the driver are in prime condition.

When entering the Cikampek Main GT on the Jakarta-Cikampek (Japek) Toll Road, Jasa Marga urges road users to comply with signs and directions from officials.

This is because the slightest disturbance that occurs will have an impact on the existing traffic flow and result in a queue of vehicles. The other distribution details are as follows:

Eastbound (Trans-Java and Bandung) Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading for Trans Java via GT Cikampek Main Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, with a total of 130.707 vehicles, an increase of 116,7 percent from normal traffic, Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading for Bandung via GT Kalihurip Main Cipularang Toll Road, with a total of 100.433 vehicles, an increase of 51,2 percent from normal traffic. The total traffic leaving Jabotabek heading for Trans Java and Bandung via the two GTs is 231.140 vehicles, an increase of 82,4 percent from normal traffic.

Westbound (Merak) Traffic leaving Jabotabek heading for Merak via GT Cikupa Tangerang-Merak Toll Road totaled 87.575 vehicles, 11,3 percent lower than normal traffic.

Direction south (Puncak) The number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek heading towards Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road was 88.866 vehicles, an increase of 27,6 percent from normal traffic. [DDHK News]
