I am currently working in Tai Po, Hong Kong. To go to Hong Kong Airport (Hong Kong International Airport) Chek Lap Kok can be reached by taking a bus for about an hour, namely by taking a special bus to E41 airport. The fare is HKD13.90 cent. If we take a taxi, we have to pay around HKD 150-200.
Taking Bus E41, we get off right at terminal 2 on the 2nd floor.
On the way to Chek Lap Kok Airport, we can enjoy the beautiful atmosphere around the highway, especially when we pass the Lantau suspension bridge (flyover). This bridge is passed from various routes to Chek Lap Kok Airport.
From all directions the route will definitely pass this longest bridge in HK. But if the trip is taken by taking the MTR (Mass Transit Railway), we cannot see and enjoy the beauty of the suspension bridge that connects Lantau Island with Chek Lap Kok Airport.
This suspension bridge was built simultaneously with the construction of Chek Lap Kok Airport which replaced Kai Tak Airport, the old airport in the Kowloon Sing area in 1997. It is said that the construction of this bridge cost more than HKD 7 billion.
Hong Kong has an established and modern transportation system consisting of buses, taxis, trams (Teng Teng), ferries, and MTR. Almost all public transportation service fees can be paid by using Octopus Card which we often call "Patadong".
