Letters of the Prophet Muhammad

In the early days, after being appointed as the messenger of Allah (Rasulullah) the Prophet Muhammad (saw) built communication with tribal leaders and leaders of other countries. He sent a messenger who brought a letter inviting him to convert to Islam.

Correspondence through letters, among others, with Heraclius (Roman emperor), King Negus (ruler of Ethiopia), and Khusrau (ruler of Persia).

Rasulullah Saw sent a letter to Heraclius, King of the Romans brought by Dihyah al-Kalbi. He handed it over to the Bushra ruler and delivered it to Heraclius. The text reads as follows:

"In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. From Muhammad, the servant of Allah and His messenger, to Heraclius, the King of Romans. Safety for those who follow directions.

Amma ba'du: I invite you to convert to Islam. Enter Islam then you will be safe and you will be given by Allah two rewards. If you refuse, then you will bear the sins of the Arisonites.

Say: "O People of the Book, let (hold) a sentence (provision) where there is no dispute between us and you, that we do not worship except Allah and we do not associate Him with anything and do not (also) part of us make part of it. others as gods besides Allah. If they turn away then tell them:

Amma ba'du: I praise Allah but there is no god but Him, the Most Powerful, the Most Holy, the Savior, the Most Safe and Distinguishing. I testify that Jesus, the son of Maryam, was the spirit of Allah, and His words that were given to Maryam, who was pure and virgin, then she became pregnant from her spirit and breath, as He created Adam with His hands.

I invite you to the One God, who has no partner with Him, to obey in obedience to Him and to follow me and believe what I bring. The Prophet's letter to the King of Persia, Kisra Abrawaiz:

"In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful. From Muhammad Rasulullah to Kisra, the king of Persia. Salvation for those who follow the instructions, who believe in Allah and His Messenger, and testify that there is no god but Allah and I am the messenger of Allah to all mankind, to warn who is alive.

Because Rasulullah Saw was an "Ummi", unable to write and read, these letters were written by the authors of the Prophet SAW. They include:
1. Abu Bakr Assiddiq
2. Ubai bin Ka'ab
3. Abu Ayyub Al-Ansari
4. Abu Salamah Al-Makhzumi
5. Abu Sofyan bin Harb (after becoming Muslim)

In the book Rosaallun the Prophet SAW ilal muluuki wal umaro 'wal qoobail by Kholid Sayyid Ali (Publisher: Maktabah Daarut-Turath Kuwait, translated as Letters of the Prophet Muhammad, Gema Insani Press, by HA Aziz Salim Basyarahil), it was written that there were 46 secretaries of the Prophet SAW.
