Jihad Chooses Halal Food in Hong Kong

halalOleh Healthy Ning

Brrrrrrr !!
It turns out that winter still feels comfortable covering Hong Kong after the last few days the temperature had risen to 25 ° C. Earth really is no longer friendly to its inhabitants. Maybe because of his old age or also because of the actions of God's creatures with the title 'human' who are increasingly 'impolite' to nature, continuing to injure him with various actions that are said to be only to thicken personal wallets.

Ah, never mind, I'm not reading the newspaper anymore and telling stories about this this morning.
Sruuuuupppp ...
Ehmmm ...
WL…

This hot cup of coffee tastes so delicious accompanied by a few biscuits, warming up the morning which is around 7 ° C! The aroma of Indonesian coffee makes me feel more comfortable sitting in the kitchen for a long time while indulging my eyes, letting my fingers nimble through the network walls, Facebook.

Apart from just reading the pleasantries of friends, the headlines I look for are developments in the country. Starting from weather forecasts, politics, social, culture, economy, religion, health to education. All of me was voracious, although what interests me the most is still the chapter on religion and education.

Instantly my eyes stopped at a news about pork that was labeled halal having been circulating in several regions in the country! Astagfirullaah adzim !!! My chest suddenly rumbled, between shocked, disappointed, furious mixed up like a hodgepodge (if this is delicious… hehe…).

How could I not, when every day my heart was anxious to read the news of my mother who was grieving, how come, sometimes there are people who dare to take the opportunity in the tightness. Doesn't he realize that Allah, the owner of the universe, is angry with a land where there are many haunts here and there, the mandate is betrayed, the material world is more captivating than the promise of Jannah Allah?
Allah ... Allah ... Allah ...

Returning to the problem of pork that is labeled halal, I remember that some time ago I had a little argument with a brother in Indonesia. I said that in a land of people like this, we are more careful about food and drinks that enter the stomach than in this country. If there, as long as it's not pork, it must be halal (most people think so). But in Hong Kong, every product we want to buy, we must first examine the composition of the ingredients (because in international supermarkets, products from Islamic countries are still very minimal).

We learned to recognize the codes for foodstuffs containing these unclean animal elements. Really the way to reach His grace is a struggle, jihad!

Sruuuuuppp ...
The last sip of coffee, which was almost cold, felt even stronger. I looked at the packs that I hadn't had time to throw in the trash. Hmmmm, this thing made me have a little debate with my boss. But alhamdulillah Allah strengthened me, He was with me and I won against his sentence.

“Eti, this brand is good…” the boss pointed at a coffee bottle that was neatly lined up on the Fusion Supermarket shelf.
"I know ..." I replied briefly.
"... and quite expensive ..." the boss took the bottle.

I don't really care about it. My eyes are absorbed in exploring other brands. Until I found a coffee brand produced by my beloved country. Then I took it, and my guess was right, there was a 'halal' label printed on the lower right corner.
"I take this, Boss," I said, handing me a packet of K coffee…. A…
"How much?" asked the boss.
"Only ..." I mentioned the price.

“How cheap! I don't think the quality is good! " said the boss half cocky, Hong Kong employer style.
“I'm sorry, but I don't care about the low price. All I need to concern more about is this… ”I pointed to the hijaiyah letter 'halal' which of course the boss can't read. Hehe…
"Means?"
"Just to make me feel secure ..." I said short as I pushed the grocery trolly that was getting full toward the cashier.

I glanced at the boss just shaking his head. I know his heart is still curious as usual. But I remember, there are some people who, even if we explain in as much detail as possible, complete with arguments, they will still never understand.

Ah, that is the nature of most people today, they believe more in newspaper reports and even doubt the contents and contents of the perfect Qur'an and convey the message of truth as a light or light that illuminates the darkness of the human heart.

May Allah always protect us from eating the haram, scavenging sustenance in an unlawful way and spending sustenance on the haram way as well.

Immediately return to the right direction, eat halal food, earn a fortune in a lawful way and take advantage of sustenance on His path. God willing, the blessings and bounties of Allah will be more abundant ... Amen!
