Jakarta PSBB Total Again

DDHK.ORG - The situation of the Covid-19 outbreak in Jakarta is currently in a state of emergency. To that end, the Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anies Baswedan, re-implemented Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB), as a step he called "pulling the emergency brake".

"In the meeting concluded this afternoon, we will pull the emergency brake. We are forced to re-implement large-scale restrictions like the beginning of the pandemic. Not a transitional PSBB, but PSBB as it was in the past, ”said Anies in an online press conference, Wednesday (9/9/2020) night.

This total PSBB is effective starting September 14. Regarding the implementation of this total PSBB, at least there are several important points conveyed by the Governor of DKI Jakarta. First, limiting office activities. This is based on a number of facts that the Covid-19 cluster has appeared in dozens of offices.

"So in principle, starting Monday, September 14, business activities will not stop, but working in offices that are eliminated," said Anies.

Second, restrictions on business sectors, especially non-essential ones. However, Anies still allows 11 fields to keep running with minimal operations.

"There will be 11 essential fields that can continue with minimal operations. So it is not allowed to operate as usual, but reduced, ”said Anies.

Namely, health; food / food / beverage ingredients; energy; communication and information technology; finance; logistics; hospitality; construction; strategic industry; basic services, public utilities, and industries that are designated as national vital objects and certain objects and daily necessities.

Third, restrictions on traffic and movement of public transportation. "Public transportation will be strictly limited, odd-even for the time being eliminated," said Anies.

Fourth, restrictions on entertainment, recreation, and restaurants. The form, total closure of entertainment venues. Cafes and restaurants are only allowed to serve delivery, not on-site dining.

"All entertainment venues will be closed. Activities that are managed by DKI, such as Ragunan, Monas, Ancol, and City Park are closed, ”said Anies.

Fifth, the implementation of teaching and learning activities remains at home.

Sixth, restrictions on the operation of places of worship that accept large numbers of congregations or major houses of worship. However, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government still allows mosques in villages or residential complexes to remain open, except in red zones or at high risk of the spread of Covid-19.

"There is an exception for areas that have high cases, there is data on RWs with high cases, so worship activities must be done at home," said Anies.

 More Emergency than Previous PSBB

Governor Anies emphasized that the current condition of Jakarta is more emergency than the early days of the Covid-19 outbreak in Indonesia. Basically, the number of cases continues to increase with increasing daily additions.

"This is an emergency condition, more emergency than before, so don't leave the house if you don't have to. Don't leave Jakarta if the need is not urgent, ”he said.

In addition, from mid-August to September there was an increase in the number of deaths related to Covid-19. "The death rate is increasing every day. This is what we must pay attention to. These are not statistics. Every time one of our brothers died, that's too much, ”said Anies. [DDHK. ORG]
