cultural feastDDHK News, Hong Kong - BMI Hong Kong participated in celebrating the 2014 Racial Harmony Culture Show held by the Nepal Community and the Home Affairs Department of Hong Kong, Sunday (27/4), at Henry G Long Community Center Yau Ma Tei, Kowloon.

The BMI arts team presented “Lon Sayang” by Deni Aden (Star Nasheed Hong Kong) with a colossal dancer with Acehnese nuances.

Deni revealed that it was a special honor to be invited to this international event. "This event is not my own event," he said. "But it is an event for Indonesian friends in Hong Kong, both from BMIs, professional workers, and even tourists," he said.

Deliberately choosing Acehnese, Deni Aden wanted to represent Indonesian culture that was polite and in accordance with his base in Nasyeed. "Nasyid is not a narrow area to be explored, so it can be included in any event," he added.

Deni took 42 colossal dancers from 14 Hong Kong BMI organizations. Apart from presenting Nepalese and Indonesian cultures, the Racial Harmony Culture Show was also attended by representatives from India, the Philippines, China, Singapore and Thailand.
