French Muslim Police who died in Charlie Hebdo incident Awarded Légion d'Honneur

DDHK News, France - Muslim policemen who died in the attack that took place at the Charlie Hebdo Magazine office, Paris, are buried. The French government gave him an award Légion d'Honneur.

The coffin of Ahmed Merabet, the policeman who died on the job, was paraded by residents at a special Muslim cemetery in the town of Bobigny, near Paris. Earlier, French President Francois Hollande presented him and two other policemen with awards.

Ahmad Merabet's funeral was attended by hundreds of people. The 41-year-old policeman died when the Kouachi brothers' bullets were fired, while he was on duty in an area near the Charlie Hebdo Magazine office.

President Francois Hollande also presented the Légion d'Honneur award to two other policemen who died in this week of terror in Paris. Award goes to Franck Brinsolaro and Clarissa Jean-Philippe.
