Assalamualaikum Warohmatullah.
Mr. Ustadz please ask permission. I have child one man and have not had aqiqah. And now he has marry and have children. Alhamdulillah now I have sustenance for confirm day.
My question is, can my child have aqiqah together with his child (my grandson).

The law of aqiqah is the sunnah of muakkad for parents who are given a gift in the form of the birth of a child. This is as stated by the majority of Ulama.
This worship is carried out on the seventh day of the baby's birth, as the hadith of Samurah bin Jundub radliyallahu 'anhu, the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam said:
ل لام ابعه، لق
"Every baby is mortgaged with his aqiqah, slaughtered (goats) for him on the seventh day (of birth), given a name on that day, and his hair shaved." (Narrated by Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi, Nasa'i)
Aqiqah can be postponed
Aqiqah can be postponed on the 14th or 21st day, or even until the child is before puberty. If the child has reached the age of puberty, then the obligation of aqiqah on the parents for the child has fallen.
If the baby's parents are in a difficult economic condition, then a grandfather can aqeeqah his grandson as did the Prophet sallallaahu 'alaihi wasallam when he aqiqah Hasan & Husayn with each a goat.
If someone is an adult and wants to do it himself because his parents have not done it before, then it is permissible.
