Facilities damaged, Hung Hom station and University are still closed

HONG KONG - Due to facility damage, Hung Hom and University stations are still closed today. This was officially announced by the MTR train manager on Saturday (23/11/2019), at 05.23:XNUMX a.m.

The closure of the Hung Hom station has an impact on rail services on the West Rail line. Train services between Hung Hom and East Tsim Tsui and vice versa are suspended. Likewise on the East Rail line, train services between Hung Hom and Mong Kok East are suspended.

On this East Rail line, the train between Mong Kok East and Sheung Shui stations runs every 7,5 minutes. Between Mong Kok East and Lo Wu stations, trains come every 7,5-15 minutes. Meanwhile, between Mong Kok East and Lok Ma Chau stations, trains come every 23 minutes.

For the three routes, the MTR announced, "The train will not stop at University stations."

“The total travel time on the East Rail Line will be 16-22 minutes longer. All trains will be less (coming). Longer waiting times for entering the station and (waiting) on ​​the platform should be anticipated. Please allow more time for travel, ”wrote the MTR manager.

Services on the West Rail line between East Tsim Sha Tsui and Tuen Mun stations are normal. Vice versa.

Light Rail service arrangement

As a result of vandalism or vandalism at several stops and damage to signaling equipment, Light Rail services are adjusted as follows:

>> Route 761P redirected to the Tin Shui Wai area; from Tin Yat stop to Wetland Park, Tin Wing and Tin Shui Wai, then continue towards Yuen Long.

>> Route 751 will not stop at Chestwood and Yau Oi stops. "Other routes remain unchanged. Services on all routes are maintained at 15-33 minute intervals, ”wrote the MTR manager.
