Sunday, Large-scale Action Will Be Held from Causeway Bay to Central

HONG KONG - The Hong Kong Civil Human Rights Front plans to hold a large-scale anti-government, anti-police and anti-triad march on Sunday (18/8/2019). This massive action will start in Victoria Park, Causeway Bay, at 3pm and end at Chater Garden, Central.

The vice chairman of the Fron, Bonnie Leung, said his party was trying to submit a letter of "no objection" from the police for the action. "We expect a large number of attendees," he said, as quoted by the public broadcaster Radio Television Hong Kong (RTHK).

"Leung said he expected the number of participants to reach 300.000 people," wrote RTHK.

KJRI Hong Kong: Avoid Demonstration Locations

The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) Hong Kong on Wednesday (14/8/2019) released information on an action plan that the masses would carry out on several occasions, between 14-25 August 2019. Namely, at Sham Sui Po (14 August) , Wan Chai Tax Office (15 August), and Chater Garden, Central (16-18 August).

Other actions were carried out at Government Offices, Admiralty, and Hung Hom Ferry Pier to Sung Wong Toi Garden, Kowloon (17 August), Victoria Park to Central, Tsing Yi, and Tseun Wan (18 August), and Kwai Chung.

"Please avoid the demonstration places mentioned above, in order to avoid things that are not desirable," said the Consulate General. [DDHKNews]
