Collaborating with Majelis Taklim, DDHK Holds Eid Al-Adha Prayers in Five Locations

HONG KONG - Dompet Dhuafa Hong Kong (DDHK) this year held Eid al-Adha prayers in five locations. In its implementation which will be carried out on Sunday (11/8/2019), DDHK collaborates with taklim assemblies at the location of the Eid al-Adha prayer.

The five locations are in Tuen Mun Park, near Kura-Kura Park, in collaboration with the Bustanul Ulum assembly, with the imam and khatib of the Board of Directors of the Indonesian Muslim Association in Hong Kong (IMAH) Fajar Kurniawan. At Velodrome Park, Hang Hau, near the MTR Tseung Kwan O Station, DDHK collaborated with the Hang Hau Muslimah Mother (BMH) assembly, with the imam and khatib of the General Manager of DDHK, Imam Baihaqi.

In collaboration with the Association of Indonesian Muslim Migrants (GAMMI), DDHK presented Dai Cordofa DDHK from Malaysia, Ustadz Zulfirman, to become an imam and preacher in Central Edinburg, Central. Another Dai Cordofa DDHK, Ustadz Ohan Burhanuddin, is scheduled to become a priest and preacher under the waterfront bridge between Cable car Station and Ferry Pier Tung Chung, in collaboration with the An-Nur Tung Chung assembly.

Meanwhile, in Tai Wo Hau Park, DDHK collaborated with the Al-Karimah assembly and the Al-Hidayah assembly, with the imam and preacher Wan Nu Man, the Ustadz from Malaysia, who were presented by the social and da'wah organization from Turkey, the Hong Kong Islamic Culture and Welfare Society.

"DDHK strives to always provide services to PMI (Indonesian migrant workers) in the implementation of Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr prayers. For this year, we are working with several majelis taklim to hold Eid al-Adha prayers at five points, with imams and khatibs that we bring from Indonesia and Malaysia, ”said General Manager of DDHK, Imam Baihaqi.

19 Locations for Eid Al Adha Prayers

The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia (KJRI) Hong Kong itself held Eid al-Adha prayers on the lawn of Victoria Park, Causeway Bay. For this purpose, the Indonesian Consulate has published a permit in English and Cantonese which PMI Hong Kong can show to the employer, if on Sunday, 11 August 2019 there is no holiday.

In addition, through its official Facebook account, the Indonesian Consulate General in Hong Kong also released 13 other locations for the Eid al-Adha prayers. In total, there are 19 locations for the Eid al-Adha prayers held by the Indonesian community in Hong Kong.

"The congregation is advised to carry out the Eid al-Adha prayer at the location closest to their residence," the Indonesian Consulate General in Hong Kong said.

In addition, Indonesian citizens who wish to perform Eid al-Adha prayers can also do it at various mosques in Hong Kong, such as the Ammar Wan Chai Mosque, Kowloon Mosque, Tsim Sha Tsui, and other mosques.
