The Law of Drinking the Prayed Water

The Law of Drinking the Prayed Water

Assalamualaikum. Ustadz, I want to ask a question.

Is it permissible in Islam if we try to drink prayer water, then some of it is poured into the house, and others?

Thank you, Ustadz.

Greetings, Fulanah

ANSWER:

Wassalamu'alaikum warahmatullahi wabarokaatuh.

Thanks for the question. It is permissible to use water as wasilah in treatment or ruqyah, whether it is prayed for by the scholars, kyai, pious people, or for oneself, according to the scholars.

The Prophet sallallaahu'alaihi Wasallam also read (Qur'an verses and prayers ma'tsur) on water for Thabit bin Qais radhiallahu'anhu, then ordered him to sprinkle the water on himself. As narrated by Abu Daud in the book Ath Thib with a hasan sanad.

In addition, Jibril used to meruqyah Prophet Muhammad sallallaahu'alaihi Wasallam when he was sick, using water which was read:

الله ل ل اسد الله الله

"In the name of Allah I meruqyah you, from everything that bothers you, and from the evil of 'ain disease that arises from the eyes of the envious, may Allah heal you, In the name of Allah I meruqyah you."

Wallâhu a'lam bish-showâb.

Regards!
