MACAU - An Indonesian migrant worker (PMI) in Macau was reported positive for the Corona virus (Covid-19). Based on an official announcement on Wednesday (18/3/2020) morning, he was recorded as the 14th patient case in a country inhabited by around 6 thousand Indonesians.

"A 42 year old Indonesian woman is the 19th Covid-14 case in Macau," wrote the public broadcasting service agency TDM Canal Macau, via its official Facebook page.

The full identity of the PMI was not announced. TDM only reported that the PMI, who is a non-resident worker, flew from Jakarta on the CX718 flight of the Cathay Pacific airline to Hong Kong, on March 17. He sits on seat 47F. He then entered Macau by crossing the Hong Kong-Zuhai-Macau bridge, taking the golden bus.

At the checkpoint, the PMI caught a fever. Then, he was taken to the Conde S. Januario Hospital for further examination. Doctors declared him a moderate risk patient.

After undergoing the examination, she was allowed to go home, driving a private car with her husband. Since then, the PMI has never left his house.

After the laboratory test results came out, it showed that he was positive for the Covid-19 virus. "The patient is transported by a special ambulance to the hospital where he is now in isolation. The clinical condition is stable. "Currently the Macau Health Bureau is investigating where the woman went and who she was in contact with," wrote TDM.
