In Central Java, Covid-19 Recovery is Low, Mortality is High

DDHK.ORG - Central Java Province, together with West Java, are listed as areas with low recovery rates for Covid-19 patients. However, the region led by Governor Ganjar Pranowo, together with East Java, has a high fatality rate, compared to other regions in Indonesia.

This was revealed by the Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs who is also the Chairman of the Committee for Handling Covid-19 and National Economic Recovery, Airlangga Hartarto, during a virtual press conference, Friday (8/9/2020), as reported by CNN Indonesia. "There are several provinces with recovery rates below the national average, namely Central Java and West Java, and two provinces with a case fatality rate above the national average, namely Central Java and East Java.

Based on data as of September 18, 2020, the number of positive patients in Central Java reached 18.942 cases, with 12.282 recovered patients. This means that the recovery rate in Central Java as of September 18 is 64 percent.

Meanwhile, the number of patients who died related to Covid-19 in Central Java reached 1.203 people. That way, the province's fatality rate is 6,3 percent.

From the same data, in Indonesia there were 236.519 positive cases of Covis-19. Of these, 170.774 were declared cured. This means that the national recovery rate is 72 percent.

Meanwhile, 9.336 were declared dead in Indonesia. That means, the national fatality rate is 3,9 percent.

ZONABANTEN.com reported that there were 15.925 positive cases of Covid-19 in West Java on September 18, with a total of 8.938 recovered patients. That way, West Java's recovery rate is 56 percent.
