If Prayers Are Right, Morals Are Good

TSUEN WAN | HONG KONG - A student at the State Islamic University of Sunan Ampel (UINSA) Surabaya who served in the Land of Concrete, Ahmad Athoul Hasib, Saturday (24/8/2019), filled a religious study at the Roudhotul Jannah assembly, Tsuen Wan. In his study, Hasib conveyed material about the procedures for wudlu and prayer according to the Shafi'i school of thought in the book of matan Safinatun Najah by Asy-Shaykh Salim bin Sumair al-Hadrami.

"Learning Islamic law is very important in order to get closer to Allah Ta'ala," said Hasib.

Hasib also explained in detail, starting from the terms and conditions that must be done when wudlu and pray. According to him, when a person prays correctly and in accordance with the Islamic law, God willing, his morals or behavior will be good.

"Vice versa, if the prayers are still careless, then the character or behavior of the person cannot be good," he said.

The congregation, who are generally Indonesian migrant workers (PMI), seemed enthusiastic about listening to what UINSA students who were interning for Dompet Dhuafa Hong Kong (DDHK). This is because the student who is in the 7th semester of the Islamic Religious Education Department does not only explain in theory, but also with practice, as he learned when he was educated at the pesantren.

"As Muslims we are obliged to pray five times a day, as a form of our gratitude as servants and also a way to get closer to Allah Ta'ala," said Hasib.

At the end of his study, he invited all the congregation present to always pray the five daily prayers even though they were busy with various worldly jobs.
