Fight Islamization, British and American Anti-Islamic Groups United

England Defend League (EDL) group

The British anti-Islam group, the England Defend League (EDL) or the British Defense League campaigned for the "war against Islamization". EDL formed a coalition with the US ultra-right group, the "Tea Party" group which is also anti-Islam.
Investigation Observer revealed, EDL has been in contact with the Tea Party. In fact, the EDL has invited Nachum Shifren, America's senior rabbi and Tea Party activist, to come to London this month. Shifren, who is a regular speaker at the Tea Party convention, will talk about sharia law and funding issues.

EDL also built a relationship with Pamela Geller, a figure who participated in protesting the planned construction of a mosque near the Ground Zero site, New York. Geller even advocated for an anti-Islamic coalition with the EDL.

The executive director of an American organization called "Stop Islamization" recently met with the EDL leadership in New York. The Tea Party defended the violence committed by the EDL at a recent demonstration in Leicester, England.

Geller, who denies himself to be anti-Islamic, in his blog says, “I share goals with EDL. We need to encourage rational, adequate groups to oppose Islamization in the West. "

Devin Burghart, Vice President of the Institute for Human Rights Research and Education based in Kansas, said Geller acted as a bridge between the EDL and the Tea Party. "He played an important role in bringing anti-Islamic sentiment to the Tea Party. Its popularity increased rapidly after the issue of refusing the Ground Zero Mosque surfaced.
