Dompet Dhuafa Distributes PMI Hong Kong Food Aid in East Java

SURABAYA | JAWA TIMUR - His name is Pak Sueb, who works as a porter transporting goods at the Keputran market, Surabaya, East Java. During the Covid 19 pandemic, there was almost no income, because the market was no longer crowded. Even though Pak Sueb only depends on the market crowd where he gets his wages after transporting vegetables and groceries.

In his old age, being porters of transport and loading and unloading is the only mainstay of the 55 year old man to be able to support his family.

Pak Sueb is one of the beneficiaries of the distribution of food aid for people in East Java who are affected by the economy due to Covid-19 carried out by Dompet Dhuafa East Java. When team Dompet Dhuafa East Java provided food gifts containing basic necessities, a mandate from Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) in Hong Kong, he looked very moved and felt happy.

The assistance inevitably aroused his optimism, amid the small income he made as porters transporting vegetables and groceries. "Gusti Allah mboten sare mas, Allah sareng pole sing purun celak kaleh Allah (God does not sleep, Mas. Allah is with people who want to be close to Him)," he said, when receiving the staple food assistance from PMI Hong Kong.

Pak Sueb has the principle that while Allah can still give him the opportunity to seek sustenance, he will continue to look for it.

There are still many of our brothers and friends who are affected by this pandemic. We need you to complete.
Thank you PMI Hong Kong for helping through Dompet Dhuafa Hong Kong. [DDHKNews]
