DDHK. ORG – Clean-up has been carried out at the former location earthquake di Cianjur. After the 5.6 SR earthquake that occurred in Cianjur Regency, the Clean is Healthy Team (BIS) Dompet Dhuafa together with the Disaster Management Center (DMC) and 50 volunteers who are members of the Disaster Emergency Response Team Dompet Dhuafa carry out clean-ups.
The action which took place at the location of the Cianjur Regent's Pendopo evacuation post, Pamoyanan, Cianjur District, Cianjur Regency, West Java took place Thursday (24/11/2022).
Rohim, BIS Action Coordinator Dompet Dhuafa, explained, this clean-up action was started by going around cleaning up the trash scattered around the evacuation site. Then, proceed with cleaning the rubble in several areas affected by the earthquake.
Similar actions like this are planned to continue during the disaster emergency response period by involving more other parties.
"Not only that, we also cleared debris in several areas affected by the earthquake and this action will continue during the disaster emergency response period," he said.
Through this action, he added, Dompet Dhuafa hopes to set an example and raise awareness and concern for the community to always maintain the cleanliness of the surrounding environment under any circumstances.
It will feel pointless if disaster management is over, but afterwards it will create new problems because of controlled waste. It is feared that other disasters are even more coming.
Based on the data obtained, the Cianjur Regent's Pendopo Evacuation Post accommodated 200 earthquake survivors who suffered serious or minor injuries.
Most of them came from Rancagoong Village and areas close to the pavilion. [DDHK News]
