Newspaper for Muslims Ready to Launch in Europe

Pakistani pay TV operator ARY Digital plans to launch an English language weekly newspaper for Muslim readers in Britain, Europe and Pakistan.

The unnamed newspaper will be edited by Burhan Wazir, a former deputy feature editor Times who received the title “Young Journalist of the Year” in 1999.

As reported on the site Arabian Business (12/10), the target audience for this newspaper is the beginners aged between 20 and 45 years. "The print and digital editions will try to bridge the general issues of the West and the Muslim world," Wazir said in an emailed statement.
