Police Put aside claims of mental illness, Sheikh Ali Jaber can be sentenced to death

The Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Mahfud Md, confirmed that this case will be processed until court. He dismissed the popular opinion that Alpin would be released by the police on the pretext of having a mental illness.

"The person concerned has become a suspect, detained. The SPDP (order to commence investigation) has been sent to the prosecutor's office. And we will continue to guarantee that Alpin will be brought to court, ”Mahfud said at Minangkabau International Airport, Padang, Wednesday (16/9/2020) afternoon.
