HONG KONG - Hong Kong residents, Saturday (12/10/2019) night, were shocked by the tremors of the earthquake that were felt in several areas in the region. The Hong Kong Observatory said more than 1.000 people reported feeling the tremors.
"More than 1.000 Hong Kong citizens reported that they felt an earthquake on Saturday night," the Hong Kong Observatory said, as quoted by the Hong Kong public broadcaster Radio Television.
The tremors felt by Hong Kong residents were the result of an earthquake measuring 5,2 on the Richter scale centered in Guangxi province, about 380 kilometers west of Hong Kong. The tremors of the earthquake, as reported by Dimsum Daily, were felt at 23:05 hours before midnight. The tremors were more pronounced for Hong Kong residents who live in Tuen Mun. [DDHKNews]
