Kandil is one of the first groups of Muslim students to obtain a Masters degree in Islamic Studies organized by the Center for Islamic Studies and Civilization (CISAC) in collaboration with the Academy of Islamic Sciences and Research (ISRA).

Graduates come from diverse age and national backgrounds, ranging in age from 25 to 83, and represent different cultural backgrounds, including Lebanese, Pakistani, Turkish, Afghan, Anglo-Celtic and Egyptian.

Their professional backgrounds also vary, including the fields of finance, law, education, business, languages ​​and academia.

Founded in 2009, CISAC collaborates with ISRA to provide quality Islamic education for Australian Muslims. The two then partnered with Charles Sturt University in the Islamic studies program.
