Hong Kong - Al-Istiqomah Tsim Sha Tsui Taklim Assembly, Sunday (31/3/2019), held a Hong Kong Mosque Tour event. The activity, which was held in collaboration with Alibaba Travel, was attended by around 400 participants who boarded seven buses.
"This event is held regularly every year. The goal is to introduce mosques in Hong Kong to the congregation and students of Al-Istiqomah, ”said Hartini, Chairman of the Al-Istiqomah Council.
The mosques visited include the Kowloon Mosque, Central Mosque, and Chai Wan Mosque. Apart from visiting the mosque, tour participants were also invited to stop by the golden flower statue in Wan Chai, the windmill in Central, and the Ocean Park entertainment venue.
General Manager Dompet Dhuafa Hong Kong (DDHK), Imam Baihaqi, accompanied the tour. In each mosque the Imam provides participants with a tausiah with the theme ukhuwah Islamiyah.
"There are five things that need to be done to strengthen ukhuwah Islamiyah. Namely, closing the shame of his brother, apologizing, letting go of his brother's troubles, having good prejudice, and praying, ”said Imam in his tausiah in front of hundreds of tour participants.
Among the tour participants was a child of the participant's employer. "She is 19 years old, still in college. He joined because he wanted to know more about Islam. She also wore the hijab, ”said Imam to DDHKNews. [AR]
