Free Hong Kong Ferris wheel ride, this is the valid date

DDHK.ORG - AIA Hong Kong giving away free tickets to ride the Ferris wheel (Hong Kong Observation Wheel) in Central, from 30 July to 8 August 2021. AIA has also prepared a big screen for Hong Kong people who want to give a message of encouragement to Hong Kong athletes who are competing in the Tokyo Olympics .

This was announced by AIA Hong Kong, on July 29, as a form of celebration for the achievements of athletes in the Olympics. In the medal list, as of August 1, Hong Kong ranks 25th with 1 gold and 2 silver.

"To rejoice and share the joy with Hong Kong people, free admission to the Hong Kong Observation Wheel will be given to visitors from 30 July to 8 August 2021*," wrote AIA Hong Kong on its official website, aia.com.hk.

The gold medal for Hong Kong was presented by a male fencing athlete, Edgar Cheung Ka-long, on July 26, 2021. This is the second gold medal in Hong Kong history after Lee Lai-shan who won the first gold medal in the Windsurfer match at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, USA.

AIA Hong Kong said it will provide free tickets to the public for a ride on the Hong Kong Observation Wheel Ferris wheel on a first-come-first-served basis. Interested individuals can obtain tickets on site.

Messages of encouragement for athletes can be sent via AIA Hong Kong's Facebook and Instagram message boxes no later than August 1, 2021. The messages will be displayed on a giant big screen at the “Sumer at the Wheel” event at the Ferris wheel location from August 3 to 8.

Here are the terms and conditions:

  • The promotion period is from 30 July to 8 August 2021, including both dates.
  • Persons who visit the Hong Kong Observation Wheel (“Wheel”) in person during the opening hours on the Wheel website (hkow.hk) (“Visitor”) can receive free admission to the Wheel for the day. (“Tickets”). There is no quota for Tickets. Ticket availability is subject to capacity, opening hours and infection control measures at Wheel. If the response to the promotion is overwhelming and the number of Visitors will exceed Wheel's total capacity under the conditions stated above, Tickets for the day will be awarded on a first-come-first-served basis at the Wheel's box office. Any changes will be announced on the official Facebook facebook.com/hkowofficial.
  • Each Ticket is only valid for one person for one trip on the same day of collection.
  • Each Visitor is only entitled to one Ticket per day, he cannot exchange additional Tickets for others on the same day.
  • AIA and Wheel will not reissue Tickets and accept any liability in respect of lost, stolen, damaged, destroyed or expired Tickets.
  • Tickets cannot be exchanged for cash and cannot be traded.
  • AIA reserves the right to select and share messages and interpret these Terms and Conditions. For any dispute arising from the promotion, AIA reserves the right to make the final decision.
  • The Promotion is governed by and will be construed in accordance with the laws of Hong Kong. The courts of Hong Kong have non-exclusive jurisdiction to consider and determine any dispute or legal proceeding arising out of or in connection with the promotion.
