DDHK.ORG - Dompet Dhuafa (DD), through the Takween Association, on Monday (24/5/2021), distributed 500 food packages in the form of basic necessities for survivors of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in the Gaza Strip. This assistance is provided within the framework of the Gaza Foodbank program.
The distribution of the aid was reported live from North Gaza, via telephone and broadcast live on the DDTV Youtube channel. "Right now (Monday, 24/5/2021) I am in North Gaza, Palestine. This aid is distributed to the community, including children, who live around North Gaza, and who currently have to move to evacuation. This is because their house has been destroyed by Israeli attacks that have not stopped until now, ”said Sadi Dabboor, Chairman of the Takween Association for Development, in his report by telephone.
Sadi explained that hundreds of buildings, both houses and public facilities, were destroyed by the Israeli missile attack. In addition, there are 50 residents who fled in refugee camps with limited facilities such as clean water and a lack of various other necessities.
"I am very grateful to the people of Indonesia, especially donors Dompet Dhuafa, which has helped us. Because today it can be channeled to those of us who have become victims of the conflict. We know that the Indonesian people love us, and we really appreciate your attention and assistance, ”said Ramadan, one of the beneficiaries of DD's basic food assistance.
In a live broadcast on DDTV, Mohammed Abu Mohadi, 56, another beneficiary, pointed to the rubble of the building behind him and explained what happened to him. “In the past, that was where we lived. But now it's collapsed. Now we take refuge in a makeshift place. Food is also simple. Alhamdulillah, we would like to thank the donors Dompet Dhuafa and other parties who have channeled aid here, "he said.
Apart from these 500 Gaza Foodbank packages, Dompet Dhuafa later it will continue to roll out various forms of assistance during the post-Israeli-Palestinian conflict recovery period. Among them, the construction of operating rooms, the Covid-19 Center, disability recovery, skills training for women in Gaza, and renovation of schools, destroyed mosques, and facilities to rent houses for poor people in Palestine.
Sadi emphasized that the Takween Association will always be willing to be a partner Dompet Dhuafa as an extension of the donors. Thus, the assistance provided can touch the people of Gaza who are victims of the Israeli atrocities.
Director of Communications and Strategic Alliances Dompet Dhuafa, Bambang Suherman, explained that since 2009 Dompet Dhuafa has distributed various assistance in humanitarian action for the Palestinian people. Among them are the revitalization of the Jabaliyah bakery factory which produces around ten thousand loaves of bread per day, the installation of clean water sources in 2010, the establishment of the Gaza Foodbank since 2013, and the School for Gaza for children affected by the Israeli-Palestinian conflict in 2014.
"In 2015, there was also the Sacrificial Animal Spread (THK) program that touched our brothers and sisters in Palestine. At that time there were some sacrificial animals from a total of 22 thousand sacrificial animals, we distributed them to Palestine, "said Bambang.

100 Donation Packages from DDHK
Dompet Dhuafa Hong Kong (DDHK) participated in the assistance of 500 food packages given by DD to Gaza, Palestine. This participation cannot be separated from the donations given by Indonesian citizens in Hong Kong and Macau to the people of Gaza, which was deposited through DDHK.
