Collaborating with DD Waspada, Baitul Maal Foundation PLN Distributed Basic Food to Becak Workers at Pangkalan Susu

DDHK.ORG - YAYASAN Baitul Maal PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara (YBM PT PLN) Pangkalan Susu Units 3 and 4, Friday (14/8/2020), provided assistance in the form of groceries packages and tents to dozens of pedicab drivers affected by the Covid-19 outbreak. Distribution of aid is carried out by cooperating Dompet Dhuafa (DD) Be alert.

"The basic food assistance provided comes from the zakat fund for the income of PT PLN Units 3 and 4 employees which we entrust the distribution to professional institutions. Dompet Dhuafa Be alert to allocate them to basic food and pedicab tents, ”said the Head of YBM PT PLN Units 3 and 4, Muhammad Naufal Ramadhan.

Naufal emphasized that the activity of distributing food packages was to ease the burden on pedicab drivers who had been deserted of passengers since the outbreak of the Corona virus or Covid-19 pandemic.

Manager of PT. PLN UPK Pangkalan Susu, Trisno Widayat, hopes that the distribution of basic necessities will benefit residents in Pangkalan Susu, Langkat Regency, North Sumatra. "The number may not be much, but we hope it can help lighten the burden a little," he said.
