TAI LAM | HONG KONG - Team Dompet Dhuafa Hong Kong (DDHK), Sunday (27/10/2019), visited the Tai Lam Correctional Institution or Tai Lam prison. The team had the opportunity to visit an Indonesian citizen (WNI) from Lampung named the initials R.
To the DDHK Team, R admitted that he did not know his mistake. At the time of the incident, he was asked by his friend to pick up goods in the Hung Hom area from a Filipino national. "My friend said that the item contained food. My mistake was not checking what was in the package first, ”said R.
After picking up the item, he took a taxi to Jordan, according to his friend's direction. But unfortunate cannot be avoided. After getting out of the taxi, 2 officers arrested him. Apparently, the items he was carrying were drugs.
R has served 4 years in prison out of 15 years of the sentence he had to serve. To date, he has tried to file a legal remedy for the wrongdoing he claims he did not commit.
