DDHK.ORG - On Friday, February 18, 2022, the Plenary Meeting of the Indonesian House of Representatives ratified the 12 elected General Election organizers for the 2022-2027 term. Namely, 7 commissioners of the General Elections Commission (KPU) and 5 members of the Election Supervisory Body (Bawaslu).
Previously, they underwent a selection process, fit and proper test, as well as election by Commission II of the DPR. At the plenary session, chaired by the chairman of the DPR, Puan Maharani, the chairman of Commission II of the DPR, Ahmad Doli Kurnia, then submitted a report on the results of the selection of the election organizers.
“Was the report approved?” asked Puan Maharani to the members of the DPR present. They agreed in unison. Puan, as the chair of the session, then knocked on the hammer as a sign of approval.
After the ratification, the DPR submitted the results of the selection to the President of the Republic of Indonesia for approval and inauguration at the State Palace. The election organizers consist of:
